"In todays workplace, all employees have a responsibility to be aware of equality issues and how they affect the work that they do.
This involves a number of things including being inclusive both at work and in social activities associated with work by being sensitive to differences of other employees and creating a climate of acceptance. It also involves looking at how you can create a workplace where dignity and respect for different people are a reality in practice.
Ask your employer to be involved in any training that your organisation gives to improve your understanding of equality issues. It is also important to be inclusive in any social activates you participate in. This may, for example involve participating in multi-cultural activities."
